The Learning Centre has welcomed over 76,300 people since opening in 1999! Students attend aviation themed educational activities that are interactive and link with the school curriculum.

Information Communication Technology
A collection of programmes covering British Airways’ social media use, heritage, journey planning and the commercial importance of ba.com. There is also an online learning resource (see bottom of page).
Customer Service
Hands on activities enable students to develop skills that are needed to deliver outstanding customer service and understand its impact on the reputation and performance of the airline.
Environmental Education
Developed for primary and secondary schools within the local area to complement the national curriculum and often involve activities on nearby Harmondsworth Moor.
Global Weeks
Each term we provide global educational events for local schools, giving local pupils the opportunity to explore aspects of another country or region.
Languages
Our award winning language programmes aim to improve students’ understanding and use of a number of key languages in practical situations. Further details are shown in our brochure. See below for language learning resources for the BA Language Flag Award (BALFA).
Work Experience
As part of our commitment to developing the knowledge and skills of students in our local communities, we offer a small number of quality five-day work placements in a variety of departments across the airline. These include Terminal 5, Engineering, Flight Training, Marketing and Cargo.
